I got this Trovata sweater at Crossroads this weekend, it was a good deal for $13.50. I like it, it has cute buttons, and yah thats it.

mascara.

i guess i'll call this my favorite and least favorite mascara.

The mascara i'm really liking right now is 'colossal volum' express' by Maybelline. Today i got a two pack for $6.99 (target often has special packaging/ deals).  It usually retails for like $6.29

The brush is just your traditional mascara wand, but a bit plumper.

Just one coat, and my lashes already look thick and full.  But i think the best thing about this mascara is that it's really buildable. I'll let it set for a while in between coats, and i can do about 4 or 5.

Givenchy PHENOMEN'EYES

I got this from Sephora a few months ago after seeing many adds for it, and thinking the new crazy wand looked promising. It's supposed to curl and separate lashes. It doesn't claim anything about volume (which i ushally look for), so yah i guess i just bought it for the wand.

I can only put on two coats at most, because anything after that, my lashes just clumped and almost drooped down.  So i can never really get the big, full lashes i'm looking for. Also, this mascara never dries, it always stays tacky, which is very strange to me.

I guess this mascara is alright? I'd never buy it again or anything. And i'm sorry but for $28, you should get perfect lashes, and it should double as a floatation device.

Really like the print and color. But i just couldn't justify buying another cardigan.

juicy swim suit

This suit looks so sweet with the little flounce, and flattering with the rouching. But the juicy suit i already have still has alot of life in it.

juicy bandeau dress

I'm not sure why, but this dress makes me want to move to mexico, and do nothing all day except look pretty.

aa hoodie

Just a simple black hoodie. But i already have a burgundy one.

twelfth street by Cynthia vincent slip dress

Such a pretty color, and i love the simple styling. But i already have two in a similar style, from a few years ago. The fabric is so delicate, i couldnt stand buying and ruining another one.

So basically, i think i've finally realized i need to stop buying the same crap over and over again. And sometimes a little extra money in my bank account feels better than more stuff in my closet. Sometimes.

gunner

Today i took gunner to Petco to get groomed.  Most of his fur was really long, with a few awkward patches of really short fur. Long story short, his new look is not what i expected or wanted. I cried when i got him home, i felt so bad, i made him look like such a fool. But its only fur, and will grow back soon. I think i was just being really shallow, but whatevs. He seems happy/ doesnt give a fuck.

Clinique product review

true bronze pressed powder

A few weeks ago, i went to the Clinique counter at Macys. I've been using their 3 step acne system for awhile and been pretty happy with it, so i've tried some of there make up too. I got this bronzer in #3 sunblushed. I really like the big packaging and compact (even if it did break the second i opened it and i taped it back together).  It comes with this funny awkward little brush, that i was sure would be useless, but it actually does sweep the product on well. 

It has a slight shimmer to it, but nothing shows up on the face. I wore it to work and it lasted pretty much the whole day, and i touched it up maybe once.  And although i am really happy with the fresh, healthy glow and color it gives my face, i'm pretty confident you could find something similar at the drug store or target and skip the 23.50 price tag.

The other Clinique make up products i have tried are; two colors of tinted moisturizer, almost powder, and stay matte powder. None of these products stayed matte, stayed fresh, or ever really matched my skin tone (even with help from the counter). For some reason this was a hard lesson to learn, but i think i'll stick to MAC for make up, and stick to Clinique for what they're good at and known for, skin care.

BLOCH ballet flats

I got both of these from Habit, at the lab, which is in the process of closing. I think they still have a location in San clemente, but I'm not sure. The tan/black ones have that annoying elastic thing, but you can't tell when you're wearing them. They retail for like $140, but i got them on sale for $60. They're patent leather and leather soled, and look like cheap Chanel knock offs. The Cherry print ones are canvas, rubber soled, and slightly nostalgic. I think they were originally like $90 or something? maybe? But i got them for $10.

Inspiring

Note to self. How amazing would it be to have your own little boutique? Some things found. Some things purchased. Some things designed and produced. At the moment, this is my dream job...
